WORLD OF OUR OWN

World of Our Own

Augeri / DeRossi

We’re a stones throw from the county line
The border lays about an hours time
If we travel light
We can make the coast by dawn

Now, I don’t know what lay ahead
But I do know yesterday is dead
And I’ll be damned if I
I just sit around and mourn

Imagine the gifts that tomorrow brings
When our hearts will follow
Our Dreams of yesterday

There must be a place
Where we don’t have to dream to see
Where they’ll let us be
In a world of our own
There will come a time
And it’s sooner than you think
Girl, where we can live
In a world of our own
In a world of our own

Nothing fancy, just a little home
A leaky faucet and a creaky floor
On a quiet street
Or on a busy avenue

Imagine the gifts that tomorrow brings
When our hearts will follow
Our Dreams of yesterday

There must be a place
Where we don’t have to dream to see
Where they’ll let us be
In a world of our own
There will come a time
And it’s sooner than you think
Girl, where we can live
In a world of our own
In a world of our own

Love is a blessing
That keeps us waiting
Waiting forever
To set our hearts free, yeah

There must be a place
Where we don’t have to dream to see
Where they’ll let us be
In a world of our own
There will come a time
And it’s sooner than you think
Girl, where we can live
In a world of our own
In a world of our own

Darling I’m scared but it still feels right
It’s a leap of faith that we take tonight
Together we set out in search to find
Find a world of our own
We get scraps from the table
But never the feast
Maybe the good life’s some mythical beast
‘Cause it’s you and me baby that’s all I need
Is a world of our own

"A Three Hour Tour"

Howdy all!

Well, we’ve returned home from a "three hour tour” that turned our “Gilligan’s Island” into a nine day excursion starting in Santiago and ending Savannah. To our amazement and delight, three sold out shows in Chile and always an extreme pleasure to play for our Chilean audiences. It appears we’ll be returning as soon next October to their southern climbs and perhaps
… penguins?

The “Blizzard of 2017” couldn’t keep us from our next engagement in Georgia so rather then return home thanks to a touch of the flakey white stuff and cancelled flights all along the eastern seaboard, we headed onto to Savannah a day earlier sans luggage and deodorant and had the golden opportunity to taste some of this quaint city's finer delicacies. It’s Gumbo, Fried Chicken, She Crab Soup and Fried Green Tomatoes! (Are you hungry yet?)

Then on to a last minute venue change that could have been disastrous but instead may have turned out to have been the highlight of the entire trip thanks the incredibly enthusiastic Savannah crowd who assisted us in blowing the roof off that sucker!

Thanks to my bandmates Adam Holland, Craig Pullman, Tobias Ralph, and Gerard Zappa who held it all together especially our “Ace” FOH engineer Phil Castellano who worked what will be affectionately forever known as the  “Miracle on Abercorn St.”
A proverbial Rabbit out of his hat:-)

Another day in the life of The Steve Augeri Band.

And boy, as usual, it’s good to be home again:-)

’Til we meet again…

Rock'n On The Runway / Arizona's Children's Charities

Howdy Gang!

This past Sunday I had the pleasure of reuniting with some fellow Rock and Roll tour mates John Regan (Peter Frampton, Damon Johnston (Alice Cooper / Black Star Riders), old friends Billy Burnette (Fleetwood Mac), Jeff Carlissi (38 Special), Rob Arthur (Peter Frampton) and made some new, drumming legends Danny Seraphine (Chicago), Liberty DeVito (Billy Joel) the remarkable voice of Jeff Adams (Starship), and a couple of Country musics finest, up and comer and on the rise Jeremiah Richey as well having the extreme pleasure of singing a duet with the beautiful voice and talent of Bonnie Bishop. Both of which have brand new CDs out and a couple of Texans I may add! Must be somethin’ in the water in the Lone Star state:-)

Congratulations to Arizona’s Children’s Charities for throwing an amazing event and fundraiser. We were a small part of a huge effort for at risk kids and it was “All About the Kids” at the end of the day. I wish you great success in the future and here’s to a world where all children are always loved and looked after.

Thanks for the invite!

RIVERSIDE

RIVERSIDE

by AUGERI / HOLLAND / PULLMAN

Now these four walls, they look the same
As they did back then
When they did back when
Before we danced
You know they haven’t changed a thing

And these windows could sure use a good cleanin’
You can’t tell the night from the day
Lookin’ in or out
Unless you look a certain way

I’m lookin’ back on the times when we made love
It wasn’t all that long ago
I could see it in your eyes
They’re the windows of your soul

Down by the riverside
Everybody’s welcome
Down by the riverside
We can be ourselves
Down by the river
With a song in your heart
Without a care
Down by the river

Now this damn road seems endless
Take it up or down
Ride it in or out
North or South
Swear we’ve been on it for days

And no matter how far you take it
If your heart don’t feel
You’re just spinnin’ wheels
You got to go a different way

I’m thinkin’ back to the times when we made love
It wasn’t all that long ago
Yeah, I could see it in your eyes
They’re the windows of your soul

Down by the riverside
Everybody’s welcome
Down by the riverside
We can be ourselves
Down by the river
With a song in your heart
They’ll be love in the air
Down by the river

It’s ebb and flow
It’s current slows with time
What we didn’t know
We left it up to love

Whoa Yeah!
Whoa Yeah!
Whoa Yeah!
Hey, Hey, Hey , Hey…

Down by the riverside
Everybody’s welcome
Down by the riverside
We can be ourselves
Down by the river
With a song in your heart
Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey

Down by the riverside
Whoa Yeah
Down by the riverside
Whoa Yeah
Down by the river

With a song in your heart
They’ll be love in the air
Yeah, Yeah, Whoa
With a song in your heart
We’ll make love over there…
Yeah, Down by the river

IN THE MOMENT

IN THE MOMENT
by Steve Augeri

I’m always caught in yesterday
Or else I’m dreaming of tomorrow
And just for once I’d like to say
My heart and soul’s right here and now

You’re at the end of my rainbow
If I could just live in the moment
I know that you are ‘cause my heart says it’s so
You’re at the end of my road

There is a time and there’s a place
It doesn’t have to last forever
A memory time can’t erase
Deep in the corners of my mind

You’re at the end of my rainbow
If I could just live in the moment
I know that you are ‘cause my heart says it’s so
You’re at the end of my road

You’re at the end of my rainbow
If I could just live in the moment
I know that you are ‘cause my heart says it’s so
You’re at the end of my road

You’re at the end of my rainbow
You’re at the end of my road

Aaron Dilks

It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to the one and only Aaron Dilks.
I came to know Aaron as Journey’s Tour manager for a number of years. His appearance told only part of the story, the part that if the situation would arise, it would have been dealt with … and swiftly. The other side of this man was that of a funny, warm, caring “Teddy Bear” that was absolutely over the moon about his daughter and the profession in which he loved to work. And if you really knew Aaron there was his adoration for his dog:-)

As fate would have it, I had just reconnected with Aaron but a mere two weeks ago and was so looking forward to hearing that Baltimore accent again and see him smile that wry smile that only Aaron could smile. I’ll miss the way he made me feel like his little brother rather than the other way around. Coincidentally I heard of his passing on the runway flying out of O’Hara in Chicago, the city where he not only put us up in the chicest boutique hotel but also turned us on to the finest sushi in town. Coolmotherfucker:-)…, always.

Good-bye Double AA.
Good-bye my friend.

My most sincerest condolences to the Dilks family.

P.S. Your Broad Street Bullies are still a bunch of pussies!

10/25/14 Blue Ocean Music Hall, Salisbury, MA

Dear Blue Ocean Ticket holders and SAB fans,

We sincerely apologize for the unfortunate rescheduling of the Blue Ocean Music Hall show.

Just shy of 2 weeks prior to the event, the promoters and venue felt it best to move the date to a later time because they were unable to secure radio spots to properly advertise the event.

We can only imagine the disappointment to our fans and we're deeply sorry if we've caused any hardship and inconvenience in the matter. No one was more disappointed then myself and the rest of the band.

We do however look forward to securing a date in the warmer months, preferably during the summer vacation time frame so that we might take advantage of the beautiful New England shoreline and enjoy everything Salisbury Beach has to offer.

Again, please accept our absolute sincerest apology and we hope to see you all in the summer of '15!

Steve A.
